Not harvesting or making no ice
Usually water supply, a stuck water valve, a dirty evaporator or a board in a fault state. We read the stored fault history first, then test the harvest cycle instead of guessing.
Factory trained · Factory trained & certified — HCSR service rep
Oasis Preferred Maintenance is a Hoshizaki certified service rep (HCSR), and our technicians are factory trained and certified on Hoshizaki equipment. That means your Hoshizaki gets diagnosed by someone who trained on the platform, repaired with the parts it was built with, and documented the way the manufacturer expects.
Our Hoshizaki status
Because we are factory authorized, warranty repairs on a covered Hoshizaki are processed directly through the manufacturer — you are not paying out of pocket and then chasing a reimbursement.
Verify on Hoshizaki America →A Hoshizaki in a busy kitchen is rarely idle, so when it stops the clock is already running. Hoshizaki control boards keep fault history, and a certified tech reads that history before pulling a single panel. That shortens the diagnosis and keeps us from replacing parts that were never the problem.
Our trucks carry the common Hoshizaki failure parts, so most calls close on the first visit instead of turning into a second trip while a part ships. If a repair is covered by warranty, we handle the paperwork with the manufacturer so the machine is back in service and you are not left holding the invoice.
Field diagnosis
Usually water supply, a stuck water valve, a dirty evaporator or a board in a fault state. We read the stored fault history first, then test the harvest cycle instead of guessing.
Scale on the evaporator, a restricted water flow, a clogged condenser or a weak refrigeration circuit all shrink cubes. We measure output against what the unit should make and fix the cause.
Cloudy cubes are almost always water chemistry — high dissolved solids or a filter past due. A descale and the right filtration fixes the ice and protects the evaporator.
Clogged or poorly sloped drains, a cracked or dislodged water trough, or an inlet valve that will not fully close. We find the source rather than mopping around it.
A fault light is the machine telling you something specific. We pull the code history, confirm the reading with real measurements and repair the component that triggered it.
A blocked, dirty or failed bin control lets the machine overfill or shut down early. We clean or replace the control and verify it cycles correctly before we leave.
Hoshizaki, like the other major manufacturers, calls for a full cleaning and sanitation at least every six months to keep the warranty valid — quarterly in high-volume or hot kitchens. Our ice machine cleaning service tears down and sanitizes every surface the ice touches and leaves a dated report for the health inspector.
Ice machine cleaning service →Scale is what shortens a Hoshizaki's life more than anything else, and manufacturers exclude scale and sediment damage from warranty coverage. Filtration matched to your water test protects the evaporator, keeps cubes clear and keeps warranty claims clean.
Commercial water filtration →A preventative maintenance membership puts your Hoshizaki on a schedule — cleanings, filter changes, harvest-cycle checks and condenser cleaning — with priority same-day dispatch ahead of non-members when something does go wrong.
PM memberships →If a Hoshizaki is near the end of its life, we will run repair-versus-replace numbers honestly. Leasing bundles new equipment, filtration, cleanings and service into one monthly cost with no capital outlay.
